Welcome to today's episode of Reflective Hour. I'm Tammy Toney-Butler, Healing Evangelist and your host. But we all know who the host of this show is, and that's Christ. Holy Spirit, come have your way in this time that we have together. May they hear you and not me, see you and not me. And may they know the love that breaks the yoke of bondage off and sets them free. The love of Jesus. May every blinder be removed so that they can see clearly. Every veil lifted off. And that their spiritual ears be opened so that they can hear with their heart. And intake the word. Implant it. Let it take root and grow In that fertile soil. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray and declare all things. Amen. Today's message is a journey of trust. A journey of trust. We'll be talking about the story of Hannah. Dear Hannah. And all that she went through. As she endured. As she waited on the promise to be fulfilled, she was ridiculed, laughed at, mocked by others. And yet, she persevered. How many of you have people that doubt you, laugh at you, judge you, question you, even try to talk you out of your calling? of your purpose, of that dream that you have, that you know, that you know you were born to fulfill. How many of you are sitting, waiting on a promise, a prayer to be answered? Let's look at Hannah in the Bible. for answers to your questions. And remember to like and subscribe and share. And check out our blog on reflectivespacesministry.com's website because we just did an episode that goes right along with this teaching. I should say a post as opposed to an episode. So do check that out at www.reflectivespacesministry.com. So let's grab our Bibles and we're going to go to first Samuel. We're going to go to first Samuel. And we're going to go to first Samuel one, actually. And this is where we start talking about the birth of Samuel. And actually, I'm going to read out of the complete Jewish Bible. That's what the Holy Spirit's leading me to do. there was a man from ratim and sophin in the hills of ephraim whose name was elkanah the son of jericho the son of elehi the son of toko the son of souf and from ephad he had two wives one named hannah and the other naina naina had children but hannah had no children This man went up from his city every year to worship and sacrifice to Adonai Zevit in Shiloh. The two sons of Eli, Hophni and Pincus, were priests of Adonai there. One day, when Elkanah was sacrificing, he gave a portion of the sacrifice to his wife, Nanna, and portions to each of her sons and daughters. But to Hannah, he gave a double portion." How many of you want that? A double portion. Because he loved Hannah, even though Adonai had kept her from having children. How many of you are wanting that baby? Wanting to conceive, suffering with infertility, and you just don't know what you're going to do because you know you were born to be a parent. Just hold on. He's saying to you today, just hold on, just hold on. Her rival taunted her and made her feel bad. How many of you are taunted by your rivals and made to feel bad? Because Adonai had kept her from having children. He did the same every year. And each time she went up to the house of Adonai, she taunted her so much that she would cry and not eat. Hannah was so distraught in spirit that she would cry and not eat, that she had no appetite. I don't know about you, but it takes a lot to take away my appetite. That shows that she was depressed, deeply distressed in her spirit, man. Her husband Elkanah said to her, Hannah, why are you crying and why aren't you eating? Why be so sad? Am I not better to you than ten sons? So Hannah got up after they had finished eating and drinking in Shiloh. Eli the Kohen, the priest, was sitting on his seat by the doorpost of the temple of Adonai. In deep depression, she prayed to Adonai and cried. In deep depression. How many of you are in a deep depression, crying out to God, saying, God, where are you? I need your help with this situation. Only you can move this mountain. Only you can set me free. How many of you are praying those prayers and waiting on an answer? Then she took a vow. She said, Adonai Zevit, if you will notice how humiliated your servant is, basically if you will pay attention to me, if you will see me in my infirmary, if you will remember me and not forget your servant, but will give your servant a male child, then I will give him to Adonai for as long as he lives and no razor will ever come on his head. See that? She's talking to God real with real feelings, real emotions, crying out to God and just saying, if you'll remember me, if you'll remember me and not forget your servant. And she's even asking, she's praying a very specific prayer. She asked for a male child. How many of you are very specific in your prayers? Asking God. How many of you are waiting on that husband, that boyfriend, that relationship? And I tell you, as I tell everybody else, make sure that you write down all the qualities that you want in that male or female that you're seeking for your lifelong partner. That holy union that only God can bring, that God can yoke you up with. Give it to God. Write it down. If you're a man and you're waiting on a wife, if you're a woman and you're waiting on a husband, write it down. Be specific. Get in your prayer time. Get along with God. Be still and literally take a piece of paper and write out everything you want in that husband or that wife, how tall you want them to be, everything. Be very specific and say, all right, God, I'm giving this to you. I'm surrendering this to you. I'm entering into a place of trust with you as we journey together and wait on this promise to be fulfilled. You're saying, I trust you, Father. I trust you. So write it all down and give it to God and say, God, in your timing, I know you're going to bring me. the person that you want me to be yoked up with. I don't want a counterfeit. I don't want anything that the devil tries to bring me. I want only what you have for me, Adonai. And then you wait, you wait on that promise to be fulfilled and you can revisit it. And I guarantee you, as you grow, as you mature, as you heal, for those of us that have suffered trauma, You'll take things off your list because you'll realize that it was the survival responses, the trauma responses in you that were dictating that list to begin with. And you'll scratch things off as you heal that you don't want, that you realize you don't need, that all you need is Jesus. All you need is God. And that's the thing is you'll realize that you don't need those things and you'll grow. And so you'll start scratching things off your list. And when that list is fine tuned and you've grown into who God's called you to be through those crushing seasons, through those painful seasons, and I guarantee you, he will bring you that person because it's not his desire that you're alone. And he gives us the desires of our heart. But we have to trust him. We have to increase our faith muscle. We have to. especially now as that fateful remnant waiting on the Messiah to come for his bride. Let's keep reading. She prayed for a long time. before Adonai. And as she did so, Eli was watching her mouth. Hannah was speaking in her heart. Her lips moved, but her voice could not be heard. So Eli thought she was drunk. Eli said to her, how long are you going to stay drunk? Stop drinking your wine. But Hannah answered, no, my Lord, I'm a very unhappy woman. I have not drunk either wine or strong liquor. Rather, I've been pouring out my soul before Adonai. How many of you have been pouring out your soul before God? How many of you are pouring out your soul? How many of you, how many of you are thanking him, reflecting on what he's already done for you, thanking him for the promises that have already been fulfilled, the things that he's already done. And in that passage, you see where it said that Adonai kept Hannah from conceiving. Maybe he's kept something from you because it was the wrong time. Or if he delivered that to you now, then you wouldn't steward that blessing well. You wouldn't steward that relationship well. Adonai has a reason for everything and we have to trust God, trust his timing and trust that in due season at the appointed time, he will rise you up. He will break you forth and you will get those things that he has spoken to you. You will conceive that promise. You will give birth to that promise. You will enter into all he has for you this season. in the appointed time but you must endure you must be strengthened you must draw strength from God and His Word and the promises as in Isaiah 40:31 and you must refuse to quit And fight that good fight of faith. And even though you're in the olive press of affliction, even though you're in that olive press, like in the garden of Gethsemane, and you're crushing, you're being pressed on every side, you will break forth. You will bring forth oil. You will walk in all that God has for you this season. as his sons and daughters of the king, as ambassadors of the Kingdom. And you will step into all he has for you. You will. So trust him. Believe him. Believe in the process. Never lose heart. Never lose faith. And know he's with you. He's with you. He is with you. Holy Spirit. Oh, Holy Spirit, help. Abba, Father, I thank you. I thank you that you've heard them, Father. I thank you that you hear their cries, O God. I thank you that you hear my cries, O God. I thank you that you're rising me up out of this famine, out of this drought. That you're breaking me out and breaking me forth. And that I have conceived like Hannah conceived. And I've birthed the promise that you have, O God. And I believe it, God. I believe the words you've spoken over me about my destiny, O God. I believe it, God. I believe the words you've spoken, God. And I believe it like the other greats of faith. And I endure. I endure like Noah. I endure like Abraham. I endure like Sarah. I endure like David, O God. I endure like Hannah, O God. I endure like Ruth, O God. I endure. I endure. I endure, O God. I trust you, God. I thank you, God. I thank you, God. I thank you, God, for everything you're doing in and through me. I thank you for what you're doing and doing out to others, O God. And as I break forth, O God, as I break forth, O God, and as we bring this broadcast to your people, O God, I pray, O God, for your provision for them, God. I pray for the promises found in your word, O God, to envelop them, to take them, O God. I pray for it, O God. I pray for them to break forth. I break off that yoke of bondage on their life, O God. And I break them into all you've called them to be, O God, this season. Let them draw strength from you, O God. Let them draw strength from your well, O God. Let them draw strength from you, O God, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our precious Lord Jesus. I pray for them, Father. I pray for them, Father. I pray for them, Father. I pray for them, Father. I intercede on their behalf. All the Hannahs out there, all the ones waiting on you, oh God, waiting on you to deliver that promise. I speak on their behalf, God. And I thank you now for what you're doing. I thank you, God, that you've heard. I thank you, Father. I thank you, Father. I thank you, Father. You're a good Father. I praise you, Father, in advance for what you're doing. I trust you, Father. And I know that in due season, I'll reap a double portion in due season. And everything, the locusts, the canker worm, the pommel worm tried to steal, you will bring back in a double portion in full measure. And I thank you now for it. And I thank you for bringing it to them, Lord. All the listeners, strengthen them, O God. Guide them, O God. Keep them safe, O God. And break them. forth into all you've called them to be this season. Bring their destiny partners, those relationships, Father, that they long for, but the ones that are from you, Father, no counterfeit. I don't know about you, but I don't want anything that God didn't bring and that he doesn't have for me. I only want what you want, God. Nevertheless, not my will be done, but yours, O God. And that's my prayer to you, Father. And that's my prayer on behalf of your people, on all those listening. I thank you, Father. I treasure You, Father. I worship You. And that's this episode of Reflective Hour. I'm Tammy Toney- Butler, Healing Evangelist, and your Host. God bless you. God keep you. May His Light shine upon you in all you do this day and every day for the Kingdom of God.
