Welcome to today's episode of Reflective Hour. I'm Tammy Toney-Butler, Host and Healing Evangelist. But we all know who the host of this show is, and that's Christ. Holy Spirit, come have your way in this time that we have together. May they hear you and not me, see you and not me. May they draw strength from your wellspring of living water never to thirst again. May they eat of the bread of life never to hunger again. Oh God, my God, help them to see your love. Help them to see your protective wing, your shadow, the shadow of the almighty God, so that they can rest in you, find comfort in you,
and not sway with the wind when the troubles of life threaten to blow them off course. May they stand firm on the promises found in your word. In the mighty name of Jesus I pray. Amen.
Do you need rest? Do you need rest from the troubles of the world? What does the word of God say? We need we need a protector, a healer, a comforter, a deliverer. Let's look at Psalm 91. Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. This I declare about the Lord. He alone is my refuge, my place of safety. He is my God and I trust him. For he will rescue you from every trap and protect you from deadly disease. He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection. Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night, nor the arrow that flies in the day. Do not dread the disease that stalks in darkness, nor the disaster that strikes at midday. Though a thousand fall at your side, though 10,000 are dying around you, these evils will not touch you. Just open your eyes and see how the wicked are punished. If you make the Lord your refuge, if you make the Most High your shelter, no evil will conquer you. No plague will come near your home. For he will order his angels to protect you wherever you go. They will hold you up with his hand so you won't even hurt your foot on a stone. You will trample upon lions and cobras. You will crush fierce lions and serpents under your feet. The Lord says, "I will rescue those who love me. I will protect those who trust in me. When they call on me, I'll answer. I will be with them in trouble. I will rescue and honor them. I will reward them with a long life and give them my salvation.
So I ask you this question today. Who are you looking to for your shelter? Your place where you find rest from the storms of life. We all need rest. But who will never leave us nor forsake us? Who is the only one that can be trusted to deliver us out of everything we face when we abide in him as Jesus, Lord Jesus,
we abide in the vine of truth.
We come out on top. We're covered. We're protected. But when we stray away from the fold, the wolves can get us. So we must be very careful in this season that we are abiding in the vine of truth that we are staying so close to the whisper of our shepherd to the call of our shepherd because we hear him and we know his voice. My sheep know my voice and they follow me in this season. We must follow so closely the whisper. We must avoid distractions, pull away from things that bring confusion that no longer serve us and step into all God's called us to be. And how do we find truth? How do we know which way to walk? Who do we know to believe? Or what do we know to believe is true? We read the word of God. We rest on the promises found in God's word like Psalm 91. We draw strength
from Lord Jesus. We anchor into his truth, letting his spirit guide us.
We must obey the spirit. surrender to God's will for our lives and surrender our own agendas, our own plans, our own selfish desires. Nevertheless,
nevertheless, we must follow God's will for our lives. Father, not my will be done, but yours.
The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our precious Lord Jesus, guide us into all truth. And no one gets to the father but through the son. So you must know Jesus as your personal savior.
You must listen to the call of your heart. And when that call comes, you answer that plea and say, "Lord Jesus, be Lord and Savior of my life.
Guide me into all truth. I repent of my sins. I turn towards you. I walk towards you, your way. I turn away from the world.
Keep me. Strengthen me. I want to be a part of the kingdom of God. I want to be covered under the promises of God.
I want to be in your perfect will, God. Make me a new creature in Christ Jesus. With this prayer, I know Jesus was the son of God. That he rose on the third day. That he ascended to heavenly places to the right side of the father.
That he conquered sin and death.
And that he gave us abundant life. We don't have to walk in lack. We don't have to walk in depression. We don't have to walk in addiction. We don't have to walk in disease, heartache, sorrow, and pain. We get to have joy instead of mourning.
We get to have the keys to the kingdom of God because by Jesus's work on the cross, he gave us those keys. We get to use them to open doors, to enter into places
where that his word that dwells inside of us can be used for the glory of the kingdom of God. We get to walk through doors that he opens and no man can shut. But do you believe it? Will you be ready for it when the call comes? Will you answer and say yes? Or will you be so weary that you don't even answer the phone? Will you be so weary that you don't go to that meeting where you know you need to go? You don't get up out of that bed of depression and step into all he's called you to be. Will you be ready? Who's your power source?
Call on God. And if you if you've drifted away, if you've had a season to where you've drifted away, just repent. Turn back to God. Say, "God, Lord Jesus, I've been far from you, but I want you. I want you in my life. I want you to be Lord and Savior of my life. I repent of all my sins. I want you to to strengthen me. I want you to guide me. I surrender everything. I want your Holy Spirit to lead me because I know your Holy Spirit's inside of me and I want it to lead me. I want to grow closer to you. I don't want there to be any sin. I don't want there to be any separation. I don't want to be partnered up with the world and there be any separation between me and you. I just want to be so close to you, Jesus. so close to you in this hour. I just want to abide in the vine
and have you grow me into all you've called me to be. Have you strengthened me for the battles that lie ahead for we are in a place of victory in Christ Jesus. As long as we abide in the vine of truth, we're covered. We are covered by the blood of Jesus. By the blood of Jesus, Jesus and the shadow and the wing of the almighty God. We're protected. Like it says here, those who live in the shelter of the most high will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. We find rest in the shadow of the almighty God. This I declare about the Lord. He alone is my refuge, my place of safety. He is my God and I trust him. For he will rescue you from every trap and protect you from deadly disease. Sickness is not our portion. Don't partner up with the world. Don't have fear over faith. Perfect love cast out all fear. Walk in victory. Walk from a place of victory. Walk knowing that the blood of Jesus covers you. That you are protected. That you are victorious in Christ Jesus. Victorious over the devil and his schemes. pray without ceasing so that you don't fall into temptation and follow him where he leads. And that's what he has for you this day.

They will walk and not faint. Grab hold of that and walk today into all God's called you to be. Glory me to Jesus.
