Calling the flock.

Calling the flock.

Is God calling you closer to him this season?

Is he shephering you in a different way?

Is he saying, "Come closer, my son, my daughter. I have something to reveal to you in this season.

Are you getting alone with me, being still as your good shepherd? Are you trusting me to care for you? Or are you trusting in your own strength?

Your own ways which seem right to you that lead to destruction.

You must follow me this season like never before. Don't turn right. Don't turn left. Just follow my voice. The knowing that comes with following me. This is the way. Walk in it. My sheep hear my voice and they follow me.

Are you following me or following the world in a world of fake? Be authentic. The authentic voice is so needed today among believers.

Are we authentic in our witness of Christ? Are we representing his love to others?

Are we gleaning from the right source, the Holy Spirit of truth? Or are we gleaning from sources and following the world such as Dr. Google, Chat, GPT, Siri? Are we going to the authentic voice of our shepherd for answers that only he can provide?

And that can only be heard by his flock when they're in relationship with him, fully submitted, fully surrendered, close to him.

Can we hear him clearly or are we blocked from hearing him?

Can we obey his commands?

Or are we hindered by blockages such as pride, self-reliance, bitterness, hate, envy, strife?

How can we be certain that we're following him, that we're in the center of his will? How do we let go of these hindrances, these blockages so that we can come into spiritual alignment, have all the resources we need to do what he's called us to do? My sheep hear my voice and they follow me. We look in scripture, John 10:27-28 of the King James version. My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me, and I give unto them eternal life, and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. Look at first Peter 5 1:4 out of the Amplified Bible. Therefore, I strongly urge the elders among you, the pastors, the spiritual leaders of the church, as a fellow elder and as an eyewitness called to testify of the sufferings of Christ, as well as one who shares in the glory that is to be re revealed. shepherd and guide and protect the flock of God among you, exercising oversight, not under compulsion, but voluntarily according to the will of God, and not motivated for shameful gain, but with wholehearted enthusiasm, not lording it over those assigned to your care. Don't be arrogant or overbearing, but be examples of Christian living to the flock. Set a pattern of integrity for your congregation. And when the chief shepherd Christ appears, you will receive the conqueror's unfading crown of glory. Are we listening to our shepherd?

Do we hear his voice through our pastors, our leaders?

Is the presence of the Lord with us? Is it transforming us?

Are we certain we're following God's will or man's will? The only way to know is to get along with God. Prioritize your relationship within this season. Let no distractions come into your quiet time. Turn off all your phones.

Don't even take them in your prayer closet in your place where you do your devotionals unless you absolutely 100% need them. Try to set a different standard these last few months. of 2026.

Draw close to God. He's calling the flock and he's telling us to draw close to him. It's all about obedience. It's all about surrender. We want to enter into spiritual rest. And that only comes through alignment and obedience to God's will and not our own. We're spirit beings created for a purpose,

sons and daughters of the king in a heavenly kingdom. And we have marching orders as part of that kingdom. We have things that we have to do to advance it on earth as it is in heaven. So get alone with God and ask him, "Father, what is it you have for me this season? Father, clear away any confusion. Remove anything from me that's not of you. Remove all distractions that the enemy sent to kill, steal, and destroy. Remove anyone from my life. They can't go with me this season where you're taking me.

Help others to see my path. Help others to come alongside me.

Help others to unite with me. the ones you've chosen for this season. For we are to stand firm on the foundation on the rock, the Lord Jesus Christ, and build the house on that firm foundation. For we are the house of God. We are the house of God. God is with us, strengthening us, guiding us, protecting us, protecting us, protecting us, protecting us. Hebrews 3 talks about

the house of God. It talks about keeping your heart right. Refresh your memory. Read the scriptures. Get along with God. He wants to speak to you like never before. And that's the word he has for you today on this episode. of Reflective Hour with Tammy Toney-Butler. I'm your host and evangelist, author, sinner who he set free.
