What do you see?

What do you see when you stare at yourself in that mirror? Are you condemned? Hopeless? Full of darkness, doubt, and sorrow?

How do you get out of that pit you got yourself in? Were you caught in adultery? Did you lose it all in one moment? How do you get it back? Do you? Is there any hope?

Listen to this Holy-Spirit inspired episode, glean from John 8:1-11, and get back on the path of healing and restoration.

What do you see?

when you look in that mirror? What do you see?

Do you see a missed opportunity? Do you see a failure?

Do you see years gone by

to where you feel like? You don't even resemble the person in that mirror. Who is that person that I'm staring at?

How did I get here at this place, this place of brokenness? I was once so strong. Thought I had it all together. But in one moment, it all changed. It changed.

I was in a place I shouldn't have been surrounded by people. And I did something stupid. And I made a choice and it changed my life. I lost everything in a moment. And now I stare

at this reflection.

Seeing but not seeing. shrouded in such darkness. Darkness in my soul. I let my family down. My children. I've let everybody down. It's so dark where I am now. The world is so dark. All I want is a moment of peace. I just want peace. What do I do? How do I get myself out of this pit that I dug for myself?

How do I start over?

How do I get out of this darkness and into the light again?

Is there even any hope?

Will I be restored? Will I make it?

I let so many people down. I let God down.

How could I love God so much one minute and the next minute do something so stupid? They talked about this stuff. They talked about it in church. I remember when I used to go, they talked about it. How you could walk with God one minute and the devil come at you the next and you had to resist and he would flee. I tried to resist, but I was so weak in that moment. All I wanted was love, to be accepted. All I wanted was to be accepted and loved. And she said all the right things and did all the right things. And in one moment, I committed adultery and lost it all. My family, my home, all of it. What do I do? How do I get it back? Have such guilt. I'm in such a dark place. Tell me, what does someone do when they've messed up like this? I can't go back to God, can I? How How can I go back to God? I let him down. I'm so dirty. I'm full of shame. Oh, I made such a mess of things. I've truly truly messed up. Wow. Help me, God. I am going to call out to You, God, because You're the God of second chances, of third chances, of 20 chances. I'm going to invite You into my mess, God. And I want You to help me out. I want You to help me out. I want You to help me out.

I'm going to breathe in that peace.

And I'm going to look at that brokenness in the mirror and I'm going to ask you, God, to help me, to restore me, all the broken, fragmented pieces, and help me put my life back together because I know there's hope. Jesus died on the Cross so that we could live eternally free. I trust You, Jesus. I believe in You, Jesus. I repent of all my sins. I ask that You wash me clean, that you restore me, that You forgive me, that You help me to forgive myself and help others who I hurt to in time forgive me. I'll never give up on my family and restoration because through You, Jesus, through my faith in God, all things are possible. All things are possible. All things are possible. I don't know who I'm speaking to today, but the Lord put this on me during my quiet time. And that's today's Reflective Hour episode.

That's today's Reflective Hour episode titled, "What do you see? What do you see when you look in that mirror? Do you resemble the story of this man? Do you? And I would say to you this, do you remember what scripture says? Do you remember the woman caught in adultery? Of course, we never know where the man was in that story, but the woman was brought to Jesus by the religious leaders. They wanted to condemn her, stone her to death. And Jesus said, "Who is without sin, let them cast the first stone." And you see, when he was drawing in the sand, when he got up, they were all gone. All that stayed there or stood there was the woman and Jesus. And it doesn't matter what the world thinks about you. What matters is what God says about you. God can restore everything in a moment. He does say and he did say to her, "They didn't condemn you. Neither do I. Go. Your sins have been forgiven. Your sins have been forgiven. Basically, go and sin no more. Sin no more. Sin no more. The moment you repent and say, "God, I missed it. I am truly truly sorry. I let a lot of people down. Holy Spirit, help me to forgive myself and help them to forgive me. Help me to walk a different path. Help me to have the strength to build my life again over and this time to do it right.

Help me to surrender to your will, God, and not follow the flesh. Help me to crucify the flesh.

I rebuke the spirit of lust, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eye, the pride of life. I rebuke those in the powerful name of Lord Jesus Christ. And today I walk in freedom, letting go. And when I stare at that broken person in the mirror, that person that I see looking back at me, I have a ray of hope that this time things are going to be different. I trust You, Father. I trust You, Father. I trust You, Father. I trust You, Father. I trust You, Father. I trust You, Father. I trust You, Father. I trust You, Father. Help me. Help me, God. Help me to get out of this place. Help me to find my way again. Help me, God. Help me. And that's today's episode of Reflective Hour. I'm Tammy Toney-Butler, Host and Evangelist.

But we all know the Holy Spirit is the author of this show and He's everything. And it's with Him that we overcome, that we heal, and that we're restored. Glory be to Jesus. Glory be to Jesus. Glory be to Jesus.
