The Rest of God: Obedience

The rest of God. The rest of God. I'm Tammy Toney-Butler, Author and Healing Evangelist and Host of Reflective Hour. But we all know who the host of this show is. And that's Christ by way of his Holy Spirit, the spirit of truth that lives within us, working, transforming us layer by layer as vessels of truth, light in a dark world. Today we venture into a question and an invitation.

My children perish for lack of knowledge. But when I try to give them knowledge, they seek it not. They do not get alone with me to be instructed and equipped to war against the enemy, Satan. The coming darkness is great, and they must be led by me and me alone. Will they be ruled by the ruler of this world or by me, the ruler of light and truth? When they take their right place in me, they have the keys to the kingdom of God and the power to rule over any and all spirits of this world. But do they walk and possess the spiritual authority?

God is calling you, calling us to go deeper with him, deeper levels of intimacy. But do the cares of this world, the distractions hinder that spiritual intimacy, that spiritual growth? Just like a marriage, you must spend time with your spouse to know his or her ways and draw closer together. And even after some time of walking together as a married couple, you start to actually look alike to resemble each other, traveling as one for your years, for your years. You've been traveling for one as years. And that starts to show in your behavior, your actions. And that's what God is calling you to today. A spiritual marriage to where you draw so close to him that nothing else matters. You've lost your true love, your divine relationship, and you've committed spiritual adultery with the world. Today, God is calling you out of the world and into an eternal intimate rest in him. Will you surrender enough to be led by the spirit of God? That's the question before you today. It is when we awaken to who he's called us to be and to that kingdom purpose. It is in the process of becoming the breaking the remaking that we overcome and we overcome the enemy by the power of our testimony by the blood of the lamb. Come. I invite you with this episode to draw close to him, to become intimate with him, to put him first, to seek first the kingdom of God, and all else shall be given unto you. He's calling you into a deeper intimacy with him. Will you respond? Will you accept the call? That's what he has for you. That's his question.
