Welcome to today's episode of Reflective Hour. I'm Tammy Toney-Butler, host, evangelist, and author. But we all know who the host of this show is, and that's the Lord Jesus Christ by way of the Holy Spirit, the spirit of truth, the spirit of Jesus that lives within us, works through us to transform to heal, to restore, and to redeem. Today's message teaching, gleaning is, are you a good soldier of Jesus Christ? Do you remember that the word of God is not bound but free, free flowing, alive? God spoke the world into existence.

And I speak life into your circumstances now

into the world surrounding you. And where there's darkness, I call forth the light. The light of the Lord Jesus Christ that restores all the years. The locust stole, the cankerworm, and the palmer worm.

By the very breath of God, life was given to us all.

Is he trying to breathe today on an area of your life that you refuse to surrender to him, to submit?

Are you sick and tired of being sick and tired?

Are you learning to obey your commander and chief, the Lord Jesus Christ?

Let's look at the word for guidance. Let it be our teacher. Second Timothy 2 out of the ESV. You then, my child, be strengthened by the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses and trust to faithful men who will be able to teach others also. Share in suffering as a good soldier of Christ Jesus. No soldier gets entangled in civilian pursuits since his aim is to please the one who enlisted him. You have been enlisted into the army of God. As a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, you are a part of the kingdom of heaven. You are not a part of the world. You are no longer a civilian, but you have enlisted as a soldier for Christ. You are under your commanderin-chief. And it is now his will, his spirit operating inside of you that transforms you layer by layer, that helps you to crucify your flesh and become more disciplined spiritually as a soldier is disciplined as you've gone through spiritual boot camp. Have you as you've learned about your body armor in Ephesians in Ephesians 6,

as you're learning about not getting entangled in the world's mess, but staying laser focused on your mission, your assignment, your Godgiven purpose, your Godgiven purpose. Where's your focus? Did you get alone with your commanderin-chief today? Did you go to your spiritual briefing? Did you go to your spiritual briefing? Did you seek wisdom, understanding, and knowledge from Aba, Father, the father of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the father of our precious Lord Jesus? Did you surrender like Jesus did in the garden of Gethsemane and say, "Not my will, but yours be done, oh God, are you recognizing now that your old self is gone? The new you is here and he is ready to use you in a mighty way for the kingdom of God. But will you let him? Will you surrender your will for his your need for control? Will you let go and let God? That's what he's asking you today to let go and let God. And remember, the word of God is not bound and you're not bound. You're not bound by past circumstances, past failures. You're not bound by depression, by addiction, by shame, by guilt, by fear, regret, self-loathing, or rejection. You're not bound by any of those things. You've been set free by the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ shed on Calvary. And when he rose from the dead and conquered dead and ascended to heaven to the right of the father, victory was ours. It's ours over sin, sickness, and death. None of those things are your portion. Sickness is not your portion. Cancer is not your portion.

Lack is not your portion. Trust in God. Surrender. Get alone with him. Get orders from your commanderin-chief and see what he wants you to do today to serve the kingdom of God. And that's what he has for you today. Now go and sin no more. Glory be to Jesus. Glory be to Jesus. Glory be to Jesus.
