I'm worthless. I'm a worthless father.
I've let so many people down
by the things I've done, the choices I've made.
God, I'm calling out to you now. I need you, God. I've come to the end of myself. I'm lost. I'm broken. I'm defeated. And I'm calling out to you, God. I lost my own father. I never had a father. I was rejected as a little boy. I made so many choices because of that wound.
All I wanted was to be loved and seen and wanted, believed in, encouraged. But yet they beat me down. They took everything from me. I lost it all. I lost it all. I lost it all. Father, I am worthless. I'm full of shame and I'm so dirty. Do you see me? God, I'm calling out to you in the darkness. Oh, God, why am I even alive? God, I'm calling out to you, God. I need you to help me, God. I'm so worthless. That's the way I feel inside. worthless. The darkness is so great around me. How do I find my way to the light? How do I find my way to you, God? Father, help me. Help me to let it go. Help me to let it go. Help me, Jesus. Jesus, I'm counting on you, Jesus. I've tried everything else. I've tried everything else and nothing has worked. So, I'm going to believe on you, Jesus. I'm going to believe on you, Jesus. I'm calling out to you, Jesus, in the middle of my mess, in the middle of my darkness, and I'm asking you to be my light. I can't carry it anymore. I can't do it anymore. Oh God, help me. Help me, God. Take it from me, God. Take it from me, God. I release it all to you, God. No longer my will be done, but yours, oh God. God, I'm calling out to you. Will you have me, God? Will you have me, God? Will you have me, God? Will you have me, God? Will you have me, God? Will you have me, God? How many of you have uttered those words? How many of you are incarcerated right now? Are in the prison of your own mind, calling out to God, begging for help for him to take it from you. That grief, that sorrow, that addiction, that pain, that sickness, depression, loneliness, shame, guilt, fear, regret, self-loathing, rejection. God, take it from me. How many of you feel like you're a worthless father or a worthless mother? that you've let your own children down, that you've let so many people down, that you've hurt people by your words, your actions, and your deeds.
How many of you feel like you're too dirty to call out to God? How could he see you? How could he see you? How could a that beautiful God, the creator of heaven and earth and all things, how could he see me? But I'm here to tell you today that he sent me to tell you that he sees you and you're not worthless and you do matter and you have a call on your life. But it starts with you believing. It starts with you believing. believing in yourself, but most importantly believing on the Lord Jesus Christ that he died on the cross, rose again, born to a virgin, walked the earth as a man, fully man, fully God, died, rose again, ascended to heaven, and sent his Holy Spirit as a helper to live inside of us, to help us do this life thing, to help you in the middle of your sentence
to endure until he comes for us. It's about enduring and an enduring faith. It's about endurance. It's about him helping you. We can't do this life thing in our own strength. We had a death sentence and he came and bore that death sentence on the cross so that we are pardoned no longer on death row but set free. And he who the son sets free is free indeed. So I want you to know he sees you. I want you to know he believes in you. And if you ask the Lord Jesus Christ to come into your heart and save you and be Lord and Savior and believe on him with your whole heart and ask his Holy Spirit to come inside of you to lead you, to help you, to help you let go of addiction, to help you let go of of rejection, to help you let go of the wounds of the past. He will. And it'll be the most freeing, greatest experience of your entire life. Trust me, I know. I've walked through it. I've walked through the darkness and been transformed by his marvelous light. And you can be, too. And that's what he has for you today on this episode of Reflective Hour with Tammy Toney-Butler, your host, author, evangelist, servant of the Lord Jesus Christ, and sinner who he washed clean by his blood and set free. And he's waiting to set you free, too. Call on his name. Call on his name. Call on his name.
He's waiting. Glory be to Jesus. Glory be to Jesus. Glory be to Jesus.
