True freedom. True freedom starts when we realize that we're nothing without Christ and the work done on the cross.
The cross is everything. The cross is where life is. The cross is where the healing is, the restoration, redemption. It's all because Aba Father, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, sent his precious son, the Lord Jesus Christ, to die on the execution stake, so that we could have a pardon from our death row sentence brought about by sin,
deception that started in the Garden of Eden
and went through mankind, bringing darkness into the world. And the only way to get life back
was to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. and still is. He's the author of life, the author and finisher of our faith. He's our great physician or healer. He came to set us free. We aren't under the condemnation of the law. But the only way to true freedom is to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ that he died on the cross, rose again, was fully man, fully God, born to the Virgin Mary,
resurrected by God, and ascended to heaven. And he's seated in heavenly places. And he sent his spirit, his holy spirit as our advocate, as our guide, as our helper.
But do you believe it? Do you receive the gift that was so freely given to you?
Or do you turn your back on it? Do you call out to God but refuse to acknowledge his son? No one gets to the father but through the son.
When you believe on the work done on the cross
and you believe on Jesus and you're saved, then you are forever set free. And when you believe on the cross by faith and you believe in the Holy Spirit
that it controls your life, that he controls your life,
then you will have everlasting eternal life by believing on Jesus. And true freedom is found in Christ and in Christ alone when you wear Christ. When you put Christ on as a garment and you wear his righteousness and you wear his purity and you wear his love and you're dressed
with righteousness
and it's that blood shed on Calvary dripping from the crown of thorns from his head, from the nails that went through his hands and his feet.
And it's when you believe on that Jesus that could have escaped the cross, but he didn't. He was fully surrendered to God's will and not his own. And in his crushing moment in the garden of Gethsemane,
he called out to father, "Nevertheless, not my will be done, but yours."
How many of you would have done that? How many of you have experienced a radical love like that? How many of you are waiting to be transformed, to be set free, to find freedom? Freedom from addiction, freedom from depression, freedom from insomnia, freedom from chronic fatigue.
Freedom from shame and guilt, fear, regret, and self-loathing. How many of you are wanting to experience freedom and remove that weighty garment of guilt and put on the freeing garment of Christ of peace? Peace I give to you. Peace I leave with you. Peace. How many of you just want peace? Peace in your mind. Just peace. No more tormenting thoughts. No more depression. No more suicidal thoughts. I just want peace. I just want to be healed. I just want to be set free. The only way is through believing on the Lord Jesus Christ. You have to find freedom. But it starts by you going through the cross because no one gets to the father but through the son. No one gets to the father but through the son. And in John 8, in John 8 28, so Jesus said, "When you have lifted up the Son of Man on the cross, then you will understand that I am he. I do nothing on my own, but say only what the Father taught me, and the one who sent me is with me. He has not deserted me, for I always do what pleases him." He goes on to say in 31, Jesus said to the people who believed in him, "You're truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings and you will know the truth and the truth will set you free." Today you know the truth and today you are set free. Glory be to Jesus. Glory be to Jesus. Glory be to Jesus. Believe it, receive it, walk in it, and become it. Believe it, receive it, walk in it, and become it. Believe it, receive it, walk in it, and become it. True freedom lies in Christ alone. Glory be to Jesus. Glory be to Jesus. Glory be to Jesus.
